Merry Christmas From The Austin's

Well another year is almost over and a new one is on the way. We hope you all had fun this year and are looking forward to another great one.

This year was filled with new adventures for Savannah and Us. Her first adventure was Surgery. It was pretty nerve racking for Roderick and I, but it all worked out ok. Her ear still doesn’t look exactly like we think it should but the Dr. keeps assuring me that it will.

Our next adventure was getting to visit Aunt Loralene’s family. Savannah enjoyed playing the piano with Kelly and wrestling with Robby. She also enjoyed practicing going up and down the stairs. We were lucky enough to spend lots of time off and on this summer with these cousins. Savannah greatly enjoyed all the attention.

In May she turned one year old. It is hard to believe, time really does fly when you are having fun. She started walking shortly after her birthday and it took her awhile to get the hang of it. Now she runs. And is a little hurricane.

We all went camping this summer for the first time with a baby. Wow was that an adventure. She was so so dirty the whole time. But she didn’t care. Savannah and I took a couple of trips to Chesterfield to visit Autumn and Chris.

The rest of the year has been busy with feeding animals and canning fruit and anything else Roderick  could convince me to do. We are excited for next year and hope it will bring as much fun as this one. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!100_1180  100_1248

An evening of trickery!

Last night Roderick called me to tell me he was on his way home and to ask what was for dinner. Typical, he does this every night, and I gave him my usual reply. "I don't know" So then a little while later he calls again and says, "why don't you let me take you out to dinner tonight" NOT typical. So I asked him where and why. His response "I don't know lets go for a little drive and maybe go to the triangle restaurant by black canyon. We ate there once and it was pretty good. You say I never take you out anywhere. And my dad says he will watch Savannah." I have to admit I was a bit suspicious at this point, but I though maybe for once he was trying to be romantic or something. (NOT) So I decided to go along with it. After all it isn't everyday that I have a volunteer babysitter. We drop Savannah off and head out, as we are going down the drive way I ask "why he wanted to go out on a Wednesday night." His response just thought it would be nice. Lies all lies!! As we arrive at the restaurant and walk it we just happen to find a friend of Rodericks sitting at a table waiting for us. Yeah so much for romance. I should have known my husband doesn't have a romantic bone in his body!!! Turns out his friend was stranded, he had gotten stuck in the snow above Sage Hen and walked to a lady's house were he got a ride to Triangle Resturant and called Roderick to get a ride home. Why all the lies I don't know. I would have gone with him anyways to get the guy. He thought it was pretty funny. I however did not. He is so stinking anry to me. Gotta love him!! Him and all his lies!! Savannah had a great time playing with Grandpa and dumping all the toys out.

Funny Hair

Savannah's hair is finally growing long enough that I can put it in piggy tails on top of her head. Eventually she ends up pulling them out and she looks like a horned child or like she has a Mohawk. And some mornings she just has some crazy hair. It usually takes a bath and a good hair cleaning to fix her crazy hair. Roderick find amusement in her hair so I thought others might too.

Potty Training

For awhile now I have been thinking and kinda trying to potty train Savannah. Some days we do really good and she goes multiple times in the potty. Some days not so much. So this week I decided to really hit it hard. Well Monday I got her to go once in the toilet and then it all went down hill. Tuesday and Wednesday I was gone pretty much all day. So I guess we will try again today. I think if I actually stuck to it she would be pretty easy to potty train. Any one have any great advice?

Why?

I was going to put some new posts on here but it wont let me put pictures on. Why oh why must you be so retarded? Some days I just feel like throwing my computer out the window. Guess I will have to try again later.

Halloween and Daddies Girl

For Halloween Roderick and Savannah dressed up as a honey bee and a bee keeper. Savannah the honey bee didn't want to get her picture taken. I got a few but they aren't quite what I wanted. I liked this picture though it reminded me of the bee movie.

Thursday I had a Halloween inspired play group. I got pictures of the kids dressed up in their costumes. These silly girls didn't want to hold still and smile, but they are still very cute.

Ahrggg a pirate and Dorothy

We had some left over popcorn so Daddy and Savvy enjoyed an afternoon snack.

Savvy is teasing Daddy, making him think she is going to share.

Finally she shared. Aren't they cute!
