Random Happenings

In the beginning of October we went over to Autumn's house to have a break from canning. We had a relaxing week. We went out to lunch and went shopping one day, but mostly just hung out. Sunday the Banks family was getting ready for round up the next week so we went with them to take the horses and other stuff over to cow camp. Savannah really wanted to ride one of the horses. (riding with Chris's cousins)

Kitty Black disappeared for two months.
We were sure he wasn't coming home but he finally did.

Savannah was on a drawing in the dark kick for awhile this summer. Of coarse the outside light was on.

Bell pepper or apple? Crazy kid loves the garden.

Just before we left to go to Autumns house Savannah got stung by a wasp on her finger. Her poor hand got so swollen.

Not sure why she was outside in her underwear but I thought it was funny..

Jump Creek

One Saturday morning Grandma Tschida called to see if Savannah and I wanted to go for a road trip and a hike. Her and Debbie had never been to jump creek and wanted to go check it out. So we went with them. We saw some wild life along the way, one dragon fly and several little bitty lizards.

Savannah showing me how big the cave is.

This waterfall is tucked away in a small canyon surrounded by dry desert.

Pumpkins

The day after we got our pumpkins we had to decorate them. I decided that I didn't want to clean up the mess of carving a pumpkin and that Savannah really wouldn't care so I let her paint them. She loves to paint. The funny/sad thing is she used washable finger paints and her pumpkins are sitting outside in the rain right now. All the paint washed off. I guess it is a craft that she can do over and over.
Pumpkin #1

And #2
I don't think she gets the Halloween colors yet. She used up two containers of paint. They were old anyways and needed used up.
After I got her all cleaned up I wrapped her in a towel and sat her on the couch while I got her some clean clothes and cleaned out the tub. When I got back I found her curled up in a ball sleeping. I guess it is hard work being an artist.

Here is a video of her painting.

Halloween Fun

A few days before Halloween My sister and I took the kids to Purdum's pumpkin patch. This year the had a mini maze made out of straw bales for the kids to play in. Savannah thought this was great fun, it took forever to get her out of it.
Peek-A-Boo!

The hay ride was really cold this year we must have picked the coldest day of the week to go. Savannah managed to pick out two cute pumpkins to paint.

Our ward had a trunk or treat on Saturday evening. I wanted Savannah to be a fairy but she wouldn't have anything to do with that, so I settled for tigger, she was a really cute tigger. I wasn't feeling real great so I decided to dress up like a stressed out mom. I got all kinds of looks from people.

Sunday we dressed up and went to visit the Grandmas. This is Savannah with both of my sisters kids. Scary bunch huh.

Labor Day Weekend

Roderick's parents have been gone all summer on a mission near Heber City Utah. They help run a very large girls camp for the church. They invited the family to come down and visit them over Labor day weekend so we made the long journey down there. It is like 8 or 8 1/2 hours away. We spent the night Friday night in Logan with Roderick's brother and met up with everyone there. Then we all caravan ed the rest of the way together. Once we got there we had to walk up this trail to get to a challenge course. Of course I made it to the top and realized I forgot my camera so I went back to the car and got it. Then I proceeded down the trail once again. I was kinda trying to hurry and of course I tripped and sprained my ankle. Not a surprise if you know me very well. So luckily my sister-in-law was with me and she ran the rest of the way down the trail and got Roderick to come help me.
When I finally got to the course most everyone had already gone so I only got a few pictures. This one is Roderick I couldn't get a very good one of him because he was swinging to fast.
This is his brother swinging. They crank you way up to that black spot on the tree then you let go of a rope and free fall/swing. I let Roderick talk me into it, lets just say I was very embarrassed at how scared of it I was. I hate heights.
Savannah in the car. She did really good on the drive. As long as she had a movie to watch.
Clayton and Savannah found a big pretty moth. They both love bugs.

This is another challenge. I am not sure what the point was but the kids liked playing on the ropes.
The biggest kid of all being a monkey. It was a long drive and I couldn't sleep the whole weekend, but all in all it was fun spending time relaxing with family and listening to all the cousins playing together nicely.

Halloween and Daddies Girl

For Halloween Roderick and Savannah dressed up as a honey bee and a bee keeper. Savannah the honey bee didn't want to get her picture taken. I got a few but they aren't quite what I wanted. I liked this picture though it reminded me of the bee movie.

Thursday I had a Halloween inspired play group. I got pictures of the kids dressed up in their costumes. These silly girls didn't want to hold still and smile, but they are still very cute.

Ahrggg a pirate and Dorothy

We had some left over popcorn so Daddy and Savvy enjoyed an afternoon snack.

Savvy is teasing Daddy, making him think she is going to share.

Finally she shared. Aren't they cute!
