Gingerbread house

We are getting better at building our gingerbread house. This year it is still standing. Savannah did an excellent job of decorating it.

She even enjoyed some of the green frosting.

Story Time

Savannah loves the book Dragon In A Wagon. Every night she has Daddy read it to her before bed. The other day she decided to read to her babies. Not sure why she choose to do it under the Christmas tree other than she thinks that is a great place to play. She was really reading to them, until I got the camera out of course. I was amazed that she had it memorized almost as much as me.

Melted Snowman Cookies

Every year a friend of mine does a cookie party. Everyone is assigned to bring 6 dozen cookies, and no chocolate chip cookies are aloud. Ever year I have a few weeks to decide what to make and I usually come up with some thing. The idea of making six dozen cookies is a little daunting. This year however I had only three days to figure it out. I just happened to see someone else had come up with melted snowman cookies and they were supper cute. So that is what I decided to make. It took several days to make them all but I have them all done a ready to go. I just hope everybody enjoys them.

They look so yummy I can't wait to try some.

Today

Seriously all this snow is crazy. I feel like we have moved to McCall or something. Luckily the farmer renting the farm came and bladed out driveway yesterday. I had to dig the van out yesterday to go over to the neighbors only to get stuck in their driveway. Then I was sliding all over ours. Today Savannah and I are being lazy and staying home.

Did we move?

Tuesday Savannah and I left the house to go to story time in Payette. When we got in the care it was trying to snow but by the time we got done with story time it was really coming down. It continued to snow hard all day long and all night too. This is what we woke up to Wednesday morning. Tons of snow! This never happens around here. It snowed and rain/snow mix most of the day Wednesday too.

The second one still makes me laugh. Roderick thought he could get his car down the driveway and take it to work. He ended up taking the truck.

Christmas Tree

Tuesday for FHE we decided to put up the christmas tree. Savannah was so cute, she got all excited when she saw the tree. She kept saying "I love Christmas" "oh so beautiful tree" she even remimbered that we put bows and balls on the tree. Of course she wanted to put all the ornaments in the same spot on the tree. Daddy kept taking them and putting them somewhere else.

She loves the tree with it's lights on so much that she fell asleep looking at it.

Saturday Snow Day

Saturday it snowed all day long. Since Roderick's brothers families were visiting for Thanksgiving we headed over to Grandma Austin's to play. The snow was almost perfect for making snow balls so the kids had a huge snowball fight. Savannah didn't last to long outside, she doesn't like to be cold.
