First Day of School

Savannah is going to a real preschool this year. It took a couple of days for her to get used to it, but now she loves it. She is getting way to big to fast.

Twin Falls Temple

I went with the youth on a temple trip in August. We have a wonderful group of girls.

Savannah

Daddy and Savannah love eating Sushi. Personally I think that is gross but she likes it. She helps daddy make the rolls and loves to sit by him and eat. We even took her to a Sushi restaurant the other day, which she loved and wants to go again. I sure love this crazy girl.

Savannah helping paint boxes to put on the bee hives. To hold all the yummy honey in.

Swimming

My cousins little guy came to play a few days this
summer and Savannah and him love to play in the
water together. Silly kids goofing around.

Swimming Lessons

Savannah had swimming lessons for the first time this summer. Apparently I waited to long to put her in them, because she didn't like swimming to much. Savannah is a shy little girl, she doesn't like people looking at her or talking to her most days. And during the two weeks of lessons that is how she was the whole time. She didn't like getting in the water and once she was in it she would cling to the wall or her teacher. She did like the outside pool better than the inside one.

 Look she is even smiling.

Look Who's 4

Savannah had her very first friends birthday party this year. Unfortunately only three people showed up. Savannah had a wonderful time anyways. The theme was princess party. I made giant pink cupcakes and frosted them with strawberry flavored frosting, then I decorated them with princess hats. Savannah said it was the best day ever. :)

She dressed up as Snow White, her favorite princess.

Her guests also dressed up like pretty princesses.

Sam decided to join the party and be our prince.

We even had a castle pinata.

I even dressed up as Belle for her party.

Savy's New Kitty

We found this kitten outside the house one morning. Isn't it cute. Savannah named it Crispy, not sure why. She loves this kitty but it is a little wild, she is working on taming it down.

We had two bucks hanging out at our house this spring. This one was standing in my flower bed before I got the camera out. They have since left.

Moving on

Well I guess it has been long enough since my last post. Despite our efforts the procedure didn't work. After many emotions we have decided that we are done trying to have more children. There is nothing more we can do so we are moving on. What ever that entails. I suppose first I should get through getting rid of the tons of baby things that I have been saving for years. Hopefully I can hold it together long enough to figure out what I want to sale and what to give away.

Our Fertility Journey

As many of you know I have a difficult time getting pregnant. It took six years to get pregnant with miss Savannah who is now 4, and we have been trying to have another child for awhile now.

Finally in April we decided to try something new. We made a trip down to Pleasant Grove Utah to talk to Dr. Faulk who is supposed to be one of the best infertility doctors around. After looking at my charts he decided that the problem was in my tubes so hopefully if we tried IVF it would bypass the problem and result in a pregnancy. After a very very long appointment we decided to give it a try.

Starting May 1st 2012 I started taking shots and more shots to grow some follicles. I had to have several ultrasounds to watch them grow. Finally it was time to head down to Utah again to retrieve them. We had to be there at 8:30 in the morning on Friday the 25th. The day of the retrieval they put me under anesthesia and when I woke up the doctor came in and let us know how things went. He said that I had 41 follicles and that was a large amount, that I was a good egg producing chicken. (Thanks) Out of the 41 they expected 60% to fertilize and them half of those to mature properly. So we where hoping for about ten or so.

On Saturday the lab called me and said that only 2 had fertilized on their own. And they did another procedure to fertilize 17 others. Those only have a 10% chance of growing enough to freeze, we are still waiting to hear about them.

The doctor decided to implant the two embryos that we had on Monday. He said they were beautiful 8 and 9 cell embryos so hopefully they will implant properly. And we will have one or two babies. I have to be on bed rest for two and a half days, and then take it easy until we know if it worked. If it does this is our first baby picture.
We also found out that the reason it is so hard for me to get pregnant is because my eggs don't mature properly. Only once in two years I have one that will work.

Camera

Savannah got a camera for Christmas. She is constantly taking pictures of everything. Here are some samples of her picture taking. She is actually pretty good most of the time.

She takes a lot of pictures of her babies.

Her train track she got for Christmas.
