Sparrow Hawk

While we were cleaning the yard we found this cute little baby bird. We think it was trying to fly but wasn't quite ready, and fell out of the nest.

So we picked him or her up and made it a nest in a box. I googled how to take care of it and decided to feed it hamburger. I finger fed it a little and then figured out that it could feed itself. One night we even gave it live prey. By the next Monday he was chirping and hoping like crazy trying to get out so I decided the next day to let him free. Low and behold he could fly and he flew away. Well he didn't go very far he is still flying around outside with his parents.

Memorial Weekend

We decided to stay home and get some yard work done for Memorial weekend.
We started with finishing up planting the garden. Savannah of course had to help. It was kinda chilly and rainy that morning so that is why she has her warm coat on.

The next project was trimming the shrubs and misc. bushes around our yard so that the sprinklers could be turned on for the summer. Of course I got stuck hauling the branches away. Savannah decided to help mommy with her new wagon.
Isn't she a cutie

I tried to get some video of her helping but once she saw the sprinkler she was done helping.
