Halloween Fun

A few days before Halloween My sister and I took the kids to Purdum's pumpkin patch. This year the had a mini maze made out of straw bales for the kids to play in. Savannah thought this was great fun, it took forever to get her out of it.
Peek-A-Boo!

The hay ride was really cold this year we must have picked the coldest day of the week to go. Savannah managed to pick out two cute pumpkins to paint.

Our ward had a trunk or treat on Saturday evening. I wanted Savannah to be a fairy but she wouldn't have anything to do with that, so I settled for tigger, she was a really cute tigger. I wasn't feeling real great so I decided to dress up like a stressed out mom. I got all kinds of looks from people.

Sunday we dressed up and went to visit the Grandmas. This is Savannah with both of my sisters kids. Scary bunch huh.

Frustrated

My sweet quiet little girl has turned into a independent, stubborn, opinionated little stinker. At two years old I HAVE to let her pick out her clothes or she rips them off and throws a fit. What am I supposed to do with that? She has never like the word no in any form and lately she is getting more and more vocal about it. So I send her to her room until she calms down, sometimes it works sometimes not. She even gets mad at her kitty if it doesn't do what she wants. This sounds like I am raising an undisciplined child but I am not she gets into trouble almost constantly.

I don't know what to do for Halloween because she has no interest in trying on costumes to see if they fit. I made her a wand to go with one of her costumes but she still wont put it on. My Mother-in-law says it is good that she is so strong willed but I am not so sure I can handle it.

Nap Time

Savannah was trying to get Kitty Black to take a nap. I was trying to get Savannah to take a nap. Needless to say neither took a nap that day.

Best Buds

Grandpa Austin

Story time with Grandpa Austin. Savannah's new favorite book is Dragon in A Wagon. She loves, loves it.

Piano Playing Kitty

Savannah has been busy teaching her kitty all kinds of new tricks. She makes it teeter tater with her. This day she was teaching her to play the piano.
Doesn't Kitty Black look like she is enjoying herself?

I couldn't resist taking a video of it.

Labor Day Weekend

Roderick's parents have been gone all summer on a mission near Heber City Utah. They help run a very large girls camp for the church. They invited the family to come down and visit them over Labor day weekend so we made the long journey down there. It is like 8 or 8 1/2 hours away. We spent the night Friday night in Logan with Roderick's brother and met up with everyone there. Then we all caravan ed the rest of the way together. Once we got there we had to walk up this trail to get to a challenge course. Of course I made it to the top and realized I forgot my camera so I went back to the car and got it. Then I proceeded down the trail once again. I was kinda trying to hurry and of course I tripped and sprained my ankle. Not a surprise if you know me very well. So luckily my sister-in-law was with me and she ran the rest of the way down the trail and got Roderick to come help me.
When I finally got to the course most everyone had already gone so I only got a few pictures. This one is Roderick I couldn't get a very good one of him because he was swinging to fast.
This is his brother swinging. They crank you way up to that black spot on the tree then you let go of a rope and free fall/swing. I let Roderick talk me into it, lets just say I was very embarrassed at how scared of it I was. I hate heights.
Savannah in the car. She did really good on the drive. As long as she had a movie to watch.
Clayton and Savannah found a big pretty moth. They both love bugs.

This is another challenge. I am not sure what the point was but the kids liked playing on the ropes.
The biggest kid of all being a monkey. It was a long drive and I couldn't sleep the whole weekend, but all in all it was fun spending time relaxing with family and listening to all the cousins playing together nicely.

Happy Annivesary!

Wednesday was our anniversary. We have been married nine years. I thought I would give an over view of what we have accomplished together.
In nine years we have gone on a pack trip to seven devils 7 times, raised thousands of pheasants, hundreds of checker's and quail. Bought two horses which multiplied into four. Built two flight pens. Bought some land then sold that land and bought some more. Bought a four wheeler, a truck and a van. (Not all at the same time) Tried for six years to have a baby, went through months of fertility shots. Three surgeries, and finally had a cute little baby girl. Fought a lot and laughed a lot. Painted a whole house, moved into the house. Grew Hugh gardens just because we could. All in all it has been a great nine years. I couldn't imagine my life without my wonderful husband. I love you Roderick!!

All my wedding pictures are in a scrapbook. This is the only one that I could find on the computer, it is still pretty old.
